Dreamers and Castaways

Island

I will write you an island lights away.

The island that overflows with the oceans.

For the dreamers and the castaways it awaits.

I will meet you there.

In my dreams

And my castaways.

Or perhaps you will be the first one to get there?

I do not mind

Timing is irrelevant.

To set sail let all that is well seen

Disappear in the mist

And bow your head a little in front of the unknown winds.

Come without your opinions or prejudices

Otherwise we may see and miss each other.

Your raft will be swifter travelling light.

Do not miss the chance to farewell your perfections

They are too wide for the arms stretched.

Imperfections are a way more embraceable.

Leave your achievements in deep waters

Your greatness will not fit into my horizons.

Tell me rather about the skies so high that you had to bend to reach.

Come barefooted

And bareheaded.

Entrust all the wisdom to the stars.

Do not be afraid of the monsters

They are the chapters of your monstory

And eventually turn out to have quite sympathetic hearts.

Do not fear the emptiness.

When you look at it through a magnifying heart

You will see it is full of anticipation.

Loose all the maps.

None of us here has one

So we will find each other quicker without any.

Come deeply moved

With all of the joys and all of the tears.

They are equally precious.

Come grateful for your journey

Whether singing or humming or quiet.

I will be grateful to see you.

And do not tell me: Please do not wait for me!

The world has been waiting for you for millions of light years.

You are worth waiting for! Come!

Come I will write you an island lights away.

The island that overflows with the oceans.

For the dreamers and the castaways it awaits.

Come to understand that we are both the dreamers and the castaways.

And as both we are roughly as close to one another as we can get.
